The Shermanator Triathlon & 5K Run is hosted at the Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center. A USA Triathlon sanctioned event, the Shermanator is excellent for the beginner or competitive athlete. The Shermanator has raised funds annually for the Sherman Lake YMCA to benefit families in need of Kalamazoo and Calhoun Counties. The Sherman Lake YMCA programs build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities through instilling values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility. It is only with the great support of people such as yourself, that more than 160 individuals received partial financial assistance to become members at the Sherman Lake YMCA in 2007. Participating in this event provides the opportunity for fellow community members to live a healthier lifestyle in spirit, mind, and body at Sherman Lake YMCA. Net proceeds from the Shermanator benefit the Sherman Lake YMCA, a 501(c)3 organization, Annual Campaign for Scholarships.
